Just received a sad call from my Mother

It seems that I had a friend pass away last night. Not a human friend mind you, but a friend that has been part of my life for the last 17 years.

He finally just gave out night before last, but atleast up until his last breath, he was being loved by my Mother, my Brother and his new wife. He didn't die alone, or not knowing he was a welcome member of the family.

They say that losing a pet is just as difficult ,and sometimes moreso, than losing a human family member.
...and speaking from experience, I believe it.
